I know this is such a cliché coming from a yoga teacher, but I often feel like there is nothing yoga can’t do! I am thrilled to have completed my prenatal training and look forward to offering yoga course to pregnant women and be able to facilitate my regular students who become pregnant so they can keep up with their usual practice with some modifications.
Having gone through the Gentle Birthing method and Hypnobirthing with my baby, I have always been drawn to a holistic view of pregnancy and birth. Thankfully my training is deeply rooted here as well. Yoga obviously fits seamlessly into this ethos and the two together are such a powerhouse combination to empower any mother – to – be throughout this amazing time!
The reality of pregnancy is it’s such a different experience for everyone. Some sail through, while others find it a real challenge. There can be those who connect straight away with being pregnant and then some just can’t wait to get to the finish line. And sometimes things just do not go according to plan. The main thing is that all of these experiences are totally valid and absolutely ok! And sometimes it can take a group of women together in a yoga class to help you connect with that feeling, that whatever your feeling, it’s ok!!
I absolutely love being to facilitate an environment like this. A space where empowerment and vulnerability go hand and hand. A space to really tap into the beauty of the experience, whatever experience you’re having!
