Buttermilk Pancakes

Is everyone ready for #pancaketuesday 🙋🏻‍♀️🙋🏻‍♀️🙋🏻‍♀️ As a Canadian it’s inconceivable that you would only have pancakes once a year but I definitely appreciate a whole day devoted to them, we are big fans in our house 🥞 💛 This is my go to recipe when I’m not going GF, DF and SF 👇🏼👇🏼👇🏼 Ingredients • 2 cups all purpose flour• 2 tsp baking powder • 1 tsp baking soda• 2 eggs lightly beaten• 3 cups buttermilk • 2 tblsp melted butter plus 1 more to grease the pan… Method Combine the wet ingredients together and the dry ingredients together and then gently fold the wet into the dry (don’t over mix!!!! lumps are good) heat your frying pan to sizzling hot, pour a ladle full in the middle of the pan and let fry until bubbles form on top, flip and cook for another min or 2…serve hot with butter, maple syrup (essential) berries and yogurt are also amazing.

Self – Love | The Real Deal

There are a variety of different reasons we end up in a state of health that is less than optimum.  Low energy, excess weight, unexplained aches and pains, unhealthy habits and a lack of direction are all a result of some form of disconnect between what is going on on the inside and what is going on on the outside. So ask yourself, do you love yourself unconditionally? Do you speak …

Kids Yoga | Valentines Day 💖

Doing Yoga with your little ones is such a fun way to connect and its much easier than you think. Even if you don’t practice yoga yourself there are great resources for free online that you can use or you can buy some kids yoga books or practice cards on Amazon to give you some inspiration. Whenever I teach yoga to kids, the one thing I really notice that gets them engaged more than anything else, is when they have a theme. A holiday theme is one of the best as kids always get excited about holidays! Valentines day and yoga really is a match made in heaven, more so than any of the other holidays because Yoga is essentially about love and kindness. Another really beautiful benefit of planning a little Yoga practice with your kids to celebrate a holiday is that it can be a nice change of pace from the commercial element that really has taken over most of our holidays. Instead of chocolate and teddy bears, maybe just spend a bit …

Spiced Quinoa

This week I was chatting about batch cooking with my Yoga for Weight Release + Well Being class and how essential it is (especially when your weeks are busy!) to get out of the mindset of “I’m too busy to cook”…cooking from scratch doesn’t have to be a huge deal, it just takes a little getting used to and finding some recipes that you love, that are simple and that are literally as quick to make as making a sandwich!
